CoQ10

When young the human body can produce as much CoQ10 as it needs. However factors, such as ageing and stress, can lower the levels of CoQ10 in the body. As a result, the ability of cells to withstand stress and regenerate declines. CoQ10 is regarded as one of the most accurate biomarkers of aging since its decline correlates so well with the aging process. In studies, animals given a CoQ10 supplement lived up to 30% longer than their untreated counterparts. A well-known study in 1999 by German researchers came to the conclusion that long-term use of CoQ10 reduced wrinkles around the eyes.
